Adventure awaits

The Queen Anne’s County Library is excited to announce the launch of our annual Summer Reading Program, themed “Adventure Begins at Your Library.” This summer, we invite readers of all ages to embark on a journey filled with books, activities, and events designed to inspire a love of reading and exploration.

Participants can earn prizes by visiting the Library. Each week, winners will be chosen for great prizes such as outdoor gear, e-readers, Lego sets, art kits, gift cards, and more! Free prize books will be given to adults and children who complete their Summer Reading Gameboard this summer. Gameboards will be available at all branches beginning June 3.

Summer Reading Kickoff event will be held Monday, June 17 from 10 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. at the Kent Island Branch and will include outdoor games, snow cones, bounce houses, and face painting. All Summer Reading events are free of charge and we will have a lot to offer all ages and interests this year, from Reptile Wonders and craft workshops to a Pirate Escape Room and Makerspace classes, there’s something for everyone on this Summer’s programming calendar.
