Square Enix Drops Free Demo for Visions of Mana Ahead of Launch

In a surprise move, Square Enix has released a free playable demo for their upcoming anticipated Visions of Mana title, and it’s playable today!

As of today, we are within one month of the launch of Visions of Mana . This is the first new title in the Mana series of games for the past 15 years brought to fans by Square Enix , and a demo has been released completely free for fans to dive in and get a taste before the full release. Below, is the latest trailer for Visions , showcasing the demo just launched today.

The trailer showcases new elemental powers protagonists can wield in their quest and full English voice acting for the characters. The gameplay also revealed a boss fight encounter with a Kraken (that fans can take on in the demo!), a mighty eight-armed creature that also appeared as a boss fight in a previous entry, Sword of Mana (released for Game Boy Advance in 2003), in the Subland River area.

The demo injects players smack dab in the centre of Chapter 1, starting at the Rime Falls location before branching off into other areas. Players can join up with three NPC party members called Val, Careena and Morley. Players can also experiment with the Wind and Moon classes during the demo to get a feel for the aforementioned new elemental powers introduced in Visions of Mana. It’s worth mentioning that saved data from the demo cannot be carried over to the full game, BUT players with saved data from the demo who purchase the full Visions of Mana title will receive three weapons for Val (the main protagonist), including the Gladius, Falx and Horn Lance.
