It has been years since fans first theorized when Red Dead Redemption would arrive on PC, and today, the PS Store has declared it now is (but it still isn’t).

Today, a new posting on the PlayStation Store under the Red Dead Redemption banner revealed that the title would finally arrive on the PC platform. Of course, this is still untrue, as there is currently no non-emulation way to play RDR on PC, but the listing—which has since been taken down since this posting—appears on the official PlayStation Store’s game page. The listing reads, “Now on PC for the first time ever.”

The following statement on the PlayStation Store post details, “ Red Dead Redemption features all of the 2023 console version upgrades plus PC specific enhancements including support for increased resolutions and framerates, multiple displays, and other accessories, plus spatial surround sound.” This includes all the features added when the title was re-released back in August 2023.

Interestingly enough, Red Dead Redemption 2 was released for PC back in 2019, and the title launched to generally mixed reviews when compared to the console counterpart, which almost received perfect scores. CGMagazine’s review of the port explained, “ Red Dead Redemption 2 has been one of the roughest PC launches I’ve ever experienced, but what was more concerning to me was how varied the issues were between each player.” So, while the PS Store post may have ‘leaked’ the first title being ported to PC, the reason the title hasn’t been made available on PC yet may be due to the rough launch of the Arthur Morgan starring sequel on PC.

It bears mentioning that the segment where the PS Store Red Dead Redemption listing says it is now on PC has since been erased. But this could be a sign that the title may finally make its way to PC sooner rather than later.
