Three popular games that defined the Nintendo DS are coming to the Nintendo Switch in a new bundle: the Castlevania Dominus Collection .

Announced during the Aug 27th, 2024 Nintendo Indie Direct / Partner Showcase , Castlevania: Dawn of Sorrow, Castlevania: Portrait of Ruin and Castlevania: Order of Ecclesia as part of the Castlevania Dominus Collection . The collection will be released on the Nintendo Switch shortly after the presentation.

Also included within the bundle is the arcade classic Haunted Castle as well with both the original and a reimagined version with updated graphics and gameplay. The Castlevania Dominus Collection will also include an art gallery and jukebox—which is a great inclusion considering the series’ incredible soundtrack.

Dawn of Sorrow launched for the Nintendo DS in 2005 and featured gameplay similar to Symphony of the Night. A sequel to Aria of Sorrow , players took on the role of Soma Cruz—a Japanese high school student who was also the reincarnation of Dracula—as he explored Castlevania and tried to put a stop to the second coming of the Prince of Darkness.

Portrait of Ruin followed in 2006 and was chronologically a sequel to Bloodlines . Players took on the role of Johnathon Morris—a blood relative to the Belmont Clan—and his partner Charlotte as they explored and unlocked the true power of the Vampire Killer whip. This game was unique for its dual-partner system, which allowed players to swap between the two to use their unique abilities.

Order of Ecclesia was the final game released on the Nintendo DS, launching in 2008. Taking place after Symphony of the Night , it featured a unique style of gameplay attributed to its main character Shanoa who wielded magic instead of a traditional weapon. Players could collect Glyphs which allowed them to utilize different spells for basic attacks and powerful special attacks.

Castlevania Dominus Collection should be available on the Nintendo Switch today.
