Xbox has updated their storefront to include Xbox Franchise Pages, which gives users an easier time searching for individual games in a larger collection.

A new storefront update has been found on the internet today, and it includes a new classification on how users search on the Xbox marketplace. Introducing Xbox Franchise Pages, a new addition to the Xbox marketplace that adds another layer of classification to games and the series they come from. This has been likely implemented so users can have an easier time finding games from certain franchises. The update originates from an X (formerly Twitter) post from user @TRUEStealth_ and it can be seen below.

The new feature can be found in the storefront on the Xbox home page, and is currently exclusive to console. Searching the Xbox storefront on PC will not yield any results for Xbox franchise pages just yet, but it may come to the PC store at some point. What’s notable is Xbox has only hit upon larger and better-selling franchises like CAPCOM’s Monster Hunter , BioWare’s Mass Effect series, and of course, the recently acquired Activision Call of Duty franchise. Xbox franchise pages haven’t been updated enough to include in-house published game franchises like Fable or Forza Horizon .

It’s also worth mentioning that although Metal Gear Solid V has just celebrated its 9th birthday, Xbox franchise pages haven’t updated the storefront with its franchise page, but a wealth of titles from the Konami series, including the upcoming METAL GEAR SOLID Δ: SNAKE EATER are presented on the marketplace, including a pre-order option for the incoming remake.

Fans have taken to underneath the X post, to mention which franchises have been excluded from the conversation. User Spartan0525117 says “No halo?” wondering why one of Microsoft’s most popular and successful franchises hasn’t been included in Xbox franchise pages yet. Other users have commented on how good of an idea it is, with user Matt_Swan90 saying “The backwards compatibility really gets to finally be shown off with this. Should have happened years ago (2015!) but still good” mentioning how easy it is for newer gamers to check out titles that have released for previous generations.

The new Xbox franchise pages appear to still be a work in progress, but it is a new way for users to search titles in the Xbox marketplace without knowing the game’s title.
