IFA 2024: Lenovo Showcased Next-Gen Consumer Laptops Featuring Intel, AMD, and Qualcomm-Powered Devices

Lenovo showcased a full range of laptops at IFA 2024, featuring devices powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon, AMD, and the latest Lunar Lake Intel Core Ultra CPUs.

Much like we saw with the ThinkPad X1 Carbon Gen 13 Aura Edition, also announced at IFA 2024 in their business range, the 15-inch Yoga Slim 7i Aura Edition epitomizes premium build quality and innovative technology, offering a unique set of features designed to enhance the user experience. This Intel Evo Edition laptop, powered by Intel Lunar Lake Core Ultra processors, results from a multi-year collaboration between Lenovo and Intel.

The Yoga Slim 7i Aura Edition introduces Smart Modes, which dynamically adjust performance and system settings for optimal use during any activity—whether for work, relaxation, or creative tasks. Attention Mode helps block distracting websites for improved focus, while Wellness Features such as eye wellness and posture alerts promote healthy habits and help reduce fatigue.

Lenovo’s IdeaPad 5x 2-in-1 has the right mix of power and flexibility. This stylish device runs on a Snapdragon X Plus 8-core CPU and has 16GB of quick LPDDR5X RAM in a dual-channel setup. You can choose up to 1TB of Gen 4 TLC SSD storage for everything you need. Its 14″ WUXGA (1920 x 1200) OLED touchscreen display is bright at 400 nits. With 100% DCI-P3 colours and a 16:10 ratio, it is great for creative work and entertainment.

The IdeaPad 5x 2-in-1 has several ways to connect. It includes two USB-C ports that support DisplayPort 1.4 and Power Delivery 3.0. There is also an HDMI 2.1 port, an audio jack, two USB-A ports, and a microSD card reader. Wi-Fi 7 and Bluetooth 5.3 provide very fast wireless connections.

Powered by the new Snapdragon X Plus 8-core processor, it delivers rapid AI-driven performance with a 45 TOPS NPU to boost productivity during demanding tasks. Users can experience smooth multitasking with up to 32GB of LPDDR5X Dual Channel RAM and benefit from ample storage with up to a 1TB TLC 2242 SSD.

For those focused on visuals, the optional 14″ 16:10 WUXGA 60Hz OLED display with 100% DCI-P3 coverage offers extreme colour accuracy and vibrant contrast, making it ideal for designers and media enthusiasts. Despite its powerful specs, the IdeaPad Slim 5x maintains a slim and lightweight profile, measuring as thin as 16.9 mm (0.66″) and weighing just 1.48 kg (3.26 lbs), including a 57Wh battery—making it perfect for on-the-go use.
