    • Anora – Directed and written by Sean Baker, Anora explores a romantic relationship crushed by reality in the grander scheme of things. CGMagazine’s review says Anora “is a movie that will definitely garner awards at the end of the year, and for my money, a Best Actress nomination for Madison is all but guaranteed… It’s surely one of the best movies I’ve seen at TIFF 2024 this year so far.” Anora has a notable 96% on Rotten Tomatoes as of this posting, from a sample size of 56 reviews.
    • We Live In Time – Director John Crowley’s latest venture into the romantic genre has proven fruitful with the highly anticipated We Live in Time film starring Florence Pugh and Andrew Garfield. CGMagazine’s review calls We Live in Time “a beautiful story about life that was creatively told through fragments of time, with a cast who delivered devastating but outstanding performances.” We Live in Time currently sports a rating of 81% on RT, out of 16 reviews.
    • The Piano Lesson – Directed by Malcolm Washington, The Piano Lesson stars Samuel L. Jackson, Ray Fisher, and John David Washington. The film is set within the confines of the Great Depression and follows the familial events of the Charles family in the Doaker Charles household told through the lens of a family heirloom, the piano. Currently sporting a 100% on RT from 13 reviews, The Piano Lesson appears to be a must-watch in critic’s eyes.
