Each month, PlayStation Plus adds a handful of new titles for the new 30 to keep players entertained and for October 2024 they’ve decided to go full Halloween.

As September 2024 comes to a close, PlayStation Plus has got a head start on October by revealing their upcoming offerings for the coming spooky month, and they fit the Halloween motif. Fans can sink their teeth into some seriously spine-tingling titles with Doki Doki Literature Club Plus , and Dead Space . If horror isn’t for you, fans can also lace up their boots and enter the ring with WWE 2K24 , a way to celebrate the Spooky Season without the chilling subject material.

Coming to PlayStation Plus in October 2024

The first addition to PlayStation Plus for October is the viral title that was originally released in 2017 (but the updated version) Doki Doki Literature Club Plus . DDLC+ took the internet by storm almost immediately upon release due to its cutesy art style, but something far more sinister lurks beneath the surface.

CGMagazine’s review of DDLC+ says “The bright atmosphere and the disguise of a dating simulation convinces the player to let their guard down, and the moment that happens, events unfold that seize the player with terror in what could be regarded as the most startling imagery seen thus far.” For a title that awards a player for not quitting, it is very fitting to join the PlayStation Plus library for October 2024.

    Dead Space

This is not the original from 2008, this is the remake developed by Motive Studio and published by EA which was released in 2023. PlayStation Plus adds Isaac Clarke’s first horrific exploration through the USG Ishimura just in time for the scary season. CGMagazine’s review of the remake says “ Dead Space kicks off 2023’s AAA horror lineup with a seamless, masterful execution of action and frights. The remake deserves even more credit for respecting its original and adding much more depth behind the story and gameplay” regarding the remake, with attention to detail being paid to staying true to the original experience.

    WWE 2K24

Lastly, the latest entry in the WWE video game franchise, WWE 2K24 has also joined the PlayStation Plus roster for the Halloween season. Fans can play as their favourite superstar, or dress up and create their own in order to wrestle with the sports entertainment titans of the world. CGMagazine’s review of 2K24 says “It’s easily the best wrestling game on the market today and will probably continue to be until next year” and PlayStation Plus is offering it gratis with a membership. This addition also comes at the same time the upcoming Vince McMahon documentary from Netflix, Mr. McMahon , is due to release tomorrow which explores recent controversy surrounding the wrestling world.

As one month introduces new offerings, September is ending and it’s the last opportunity for fans to snag the current offerings at the discount of ‘free’ with a PlayStation Plus membership. Fans can still snatch up titles like The Plucky Squire for free in September, so fans should hit download as soon as they can if they find those offerings intriguing.
