Xbox Partner Preview Fall 2024: All The Big Announcements

This Thursday, Xbox dropped an Xbox Partner Preview to show fans what’s behind the curtain and what they have in store for the Fall 2024 season and beyond.

Three days ago, Xbox announced their exciting Fall 2024 Xbox Partner Preview, and that day has finally come. Xbox brought the heat this time around, showcasing a slew of already announced (and newly featured) titles coming to Xbox consoles (and possibly PC) soon. XboxWire EIC, Joe Skrebels said “In the latest installment, we’ll feature a mix of new and upcoming games for you from incredible partners like Remedy Entertainment (with a for-sure first look at Alan Wake II ’s next expansion, The Lake House ), Sega, 505 Games, and many more, with over a dozen new trailers ” in what he described as a “no-fluff, all games broadcast.”

Alan Wake 2 Lake House DLC – First Look

The Xbox Partner Preview started with a bang, the first look at the upcoming Lake House DLC for GOTY 2023 runner-up, Alan Wake 2 . Although it’s a very brief look fans were given a release date of October 22, which is right around the corner.

Cronos: The New Dawn

The next announcement comes from the Bloober Team (responsible for the well-received Silent Hill 2 remake), which showcases a new bloody kind of horror with the first look at Cronos: The New Dawn. This third-person perspective on the survival horror genre is coming in 2025.

Blindfire

Double Eleven then joined the Xbox Partner Preview with a new futuristic first-person shooter that removes light from the equation called Blindfire . Surprisingly for fans, Early Access is available today.

Like a Dragon: Pirate Yakuza in Hawaii

Ryu Ga Gatoko Studios then showcased the latest trailer for its upcoming Like a Dragon spin-off set in what Majima calls ‘Madlantis’ with the chaotic character taking the mantle of protagonist and helm of the ship. Pirate Yakuza in Hawaii launches for Xbox in February 2025.

Mouse: P.I. for Hire

Another new first-person shooter featuring 1960s aesthetic cartoon graphics, reminiscent of the fan-favourite platformer Cuphead was shown, called Mouse: P.I. For Hire . It’s coming in 2025.

Subnautica 2

Full steam ahead, the Xbox Partner Preview then took viewers underwater showcasing the next title to further explore the depths of the ocean in the Subnautica series with a true sequel, Subnautica 2 . This time around, it will feature co-op gameplay in an adventure on a mysterious planet and will launch sometime in 2025.

Animal Well

The indie Metroidvania darling title, Animal Well then revealed plans to port over to Xbox, and fans will be happy to know it’s available now on the Xbox platform in a shadow drop for the Xbox Partner Preview.

Eden’s Zero

A new third-person action-adventure title featuring stylistic anime graphics reminiscent of Hiro Mashima’s manga, Eden’s Zero has been officially revealed for Xbox and will arrive in 2025.

Eternal Strands

Eternal Strands demand the player to “burn everything” and “freeze limbs” against larger-than-life adversaries in a spell-slinging third-person adventure. Get ready to use the world as your weapon when Eternal Strands launches for Xbox in 2025.

Mistfall Hunter

Another third-person adventure title was then shown in the Xbox Partner Preview, showing crisp combat animations and huge enemies to square off against. Crossing classifications with souls-like and extraction genres, Mistfall Hunter arrives sometime in 2025.

Wheel World

A new bicycle racing title with cel-shaded graphics called Wheel World was then announced, revealing there may be something for everyone at the Partner Preview. Wheel World is where you customize your bike, explore, and race to save the world! It arrives at a TBD date in 2025.

Phantasmophobia

Another horror title (which has been previously released) was showcased next, embracing the spirit of Halloween. This survival horror title , Phantasmophobia will finally arrive on Xbox just in time for Halloween on October 29.

The Legend of Baboo

Another action adventure, The Legend of Baboo then received a world preview. Fans can play as both Sepehr and his loyal dog, Baboo, in this mystical action-adventure title. Together they set off on a journey through magical lands to rescue their family from a dark and ancient evil. It will arrive in 2025.

WUCHANG: Fallen Feathers

The new souls-like title featuring flashy swordfights with fire-cladding steel was then shown, with a brutal execution mechanic, and a traditional Chinese soundtrack. Players will have their mettle tested in WUCHANG: Fallen Feathers when it releases at a TBD date in 2025.

FBC: Firebreak

Like the opening, Remedy Entertainment closed out the Xbox Partner Preview with a new three-player FPS co-op experience, FBC: Firebreak . More details will be shared soon about Remedy Entertainment’s first multiplayer title.
