Located across from Asian brewpub Hopstix on Pierce Drive, Sidetracked Wine sells vintages from small and family-owned wineries producing natural, low-intervention, and organic wines.
“Our wines are representative of all regions, leaning more towards Old World regions,” said Cory Atkinson, who co-owns Sidetracked Wine with wife and business partner Malory. “And carrying the Elemental ethos forward, we are focused on small, family-owned producers that practice under a sustainable umbrella in some form or fashion.”
In addition to retail sales, the Atkinsons and general manager and wine buyer Adam Urban will also offer daily wine flights at the Chamblee shop. People can enjoy wine flights seated inside or in the “weingarten” out front. The trio hopes to begin serving wine flights by August, priced at $15 per person for three pours.
The Atkinsons and Urban worked with Napa Valley winemaker Samantha Sheehan of Mommenpop, Poe Wines, and Ultraviolet Wines to create an exclusive bottled spritz. The blood orange-based spritz is available at both Sidetracked Wine and Elemental Spirits.
Look for a monthly wine club to launch at Sidetracked Wine in August.
“We’re excited to be a community shop first – a familiar place where we hope to build lasting relationships with the wine-enthused community in Chamblee and surrounding neighborhoods,” Atkinson added.

Current hours: Tuesday – Thursday, 11 a.m. to 7 p.m.; Friday and Saturday, 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. Hours expanding this fall. Daily wine flights begin in August with three pours for $15.
