SHELBY COUNTY, Ill. (WCIA) — Stew-Stras High School is hosting a memorial for three young girls who died in a crash last week.

Edie Wittenberg, Karly Wetherell, and Sienna Bostedo all died in a UTV crash Thursday. They were supposed to be incoming freshman at the high school this year.

The school will be holding a public visitation to honor the three on Tuesday from 2-8 p.m. in the school’s gymnasium.

“We will gather to mourn, support each other, and remember the beautiful lives and amazing impact that these three individuals have had on all of us,” officials wrote on Facebook.

Grief counselors, therapy dogs, and other resources will be available in the library to assist students or others in need during the visitation.

Additionally, students at Stew-Stras, Windsor or Trinity, as well as sports teams, clubs and groups are all invited to create posters to decorate the halls with pictures and caring words on Monday from 5:30 to 6:30. Posters boards, markers, and pens all will be provided, and officials ask anyone wanting to use pictures to bring them printed.
