CHAMPAIGN, Ill. (WCIA) — After months of negotiating, Parkland Community College has made a deal with its support staff.

The agreement has not yet been shared with members, so the association did not share any further details of the agreement. Officials with the association will hold a ratification vote with their members in the coming weeks.

“We’d like to thank the Parkland Board of Trustees for their most recent proposal,” the Parkland Professional Support Staff Association said in the statement.

A mediator was brought to the bargaining table last month. The previous three-year contract expired at the end of June.

Around 200 employees are covered by the association.
