Good Morning, Illini Nation: Illinois offers 2025 wing Trey Maddox

Illinois continued to add to its 2025 recruiting board Tuesday with an offer to four-star wing Treyvon "Trey" Maddox. The 6-foot-6, 180-pound small forward from Columbia, S.C., is ranked as a four-star prospect by Rivals, 247Sports and ESPN and as a three-star recruit by On3. Rivals has the highest individual ranking for Maddox at No. 84 overall in the Class of 2025.

Maddox, who will play at Combine Academy (N.C.) for his senior season, helped Gray Collegiate Academy (S.C.) win a second straight SCHSL Class AA state title in March. The War Eagles finished the season with a 31-6 record, and Maddox averaged 10.1 points and 3.8 rebounds while shooting 43 percent from the field overall.

Illinois is the fourth power conference program to offer Maddox this summer. He holds others offers from Georgia Tech, Wake Forest, Virginia Tech, Radford and South Florida.
