Gopher commit Gilk named to JVA all-national

Champlin Park’s Carly Gilk was named to the Junior Volleyball Association girls all-national team recently for her work on the court with the MN Select volleyball club. The honor recognizes the top female athletes that competed in the 15-18 division this season.

Gilk, who has recently concluded her junior year, is committed to University of Minnesota volleyball and has had experience working with USA Volleyball. Her high school career included a long list of impressive performances for the Rebels, including back-to-back section championship game appearances. Her junior season in 2023 continued that trend with 410 kills, 84 percent serve percentage, 208 digs, and 50 serve aces from 83 sets played.

Gilk was selected by fellow MN Select players Elena Hoecke (Centennial), Ellery Deboer (Willmar), and Kacie Schulte (Maple Grove).
