Celebrate the launch of DRIVE Electric Arizona’s Three Rivers Tribes chapter, the nation's first Native American chapter, which is devoted to accelerating the adoption of electric vehicles across some included Native American communities.

From noon to 2 p.m. Saturday, at Wild Horse Pass Resort & Casino, Gila River Indian Community, 5040 Wild Horse Pass Boulevard, Chandler, tribal and community leaders will join EV experts and enthusiasts for a first-of-its-kind, multi-pronged electric vehicle car show.

Beautiful cars will be on display at this free, family-oriented event.

The kickoff show will also take place at We-Ko-Pa Casino Resort at Fort McDowell and at Talking Stick Resort in Scottsdale on Saturday morning.

The chapter serves three Indigenous communities: Fort McDowell Yavapai Nation, the Salt River Pima-Maricopa Indian Community, and the Gila River Indian Community. Its name pays homage to the three rivers that flow through their communities: the Verde, Salt, and Gila Rivers.

The lead sponsor of the event, the Salt River Project, will host food at each site.
