Chandler resident at international speaking competition

TORONTO — A Chandler resident is set to compete in an international speaking competition early next week.

Laura Boone will share her journey in navigating significant life and professional changes at Speaker Slam, an inspirational speaking competition, on Tuesday, May 28, according to a news release.

The event takes place at the vibrant Lula Lounge in Toronto, Ontario. This marks the third competition of the year for Speaker Slam, showcasing 10 inspirational speakers from across North America, all vying for a prize package worth over $10,000 and the chance to progress to the "2024 Grand Slam - The Inspirational Speaking Finals" in November.

Five of the speakers and one judge are flying in from outside of Ontario to participate in this transformative event.

Boone, a strategic change coach, is known for her heart-centered, brain-based approach to change navigation.

With more than 20 years of experience in business, life, relationships, neuroscience and change management, Boone tries to empower professionals to step into their best lives today. Her methods are designed to help each individual feel supported, connected, and empowered to choose their own path and achieve their dreams.

"I am thrilled to be a part of the Speaker Slam experience," Boone said in the news release. Boone's talk will delve into the nuances of heart-centered and brain-based strategies for navigating change, resonating with the theme of "freedom" for this year's competition.

Boone is the only competitor from Arizona.  Other speakers are from  Texas, Delaware, Philadelphia and parts of Canada. All three judges are from the Toronto area.
