As part of its 35th anniversary celebration season, Chandler Center for the Arts has announced its 2024 free summer concert series, sponsored by Intel.

With most shows presented in the air-conditioned theater of the Steena Murray Mainstage, these concerts are held each Friday night from July 26 through Sept. 20.

All concerts are free of charge, but an RSVP is requested to help determine how many attendees to accommodate. Seating is first come, first seated.

All shows start at 7:30 p.m. except the Sept. 20 show.

Friday, July 26, Lisa “Thee Oracle” Hightower will showcase her jazz, soul and R&B talents.

Friday, Aug. 2, “Traveler” will fuse Middle Eastern, Celtic, Greek and Turkish styles with the power of a full-blown rock band.

Friday, Aug. 9, “Scott & Sabrina’s” country sound includes original music.

Friday, Aug. 16, “Jaleo’s” Colombian roots and rhythmic beats, allow the quintet to delve into bossa nova, cha cha, Afro-Cuban Jazz and other Latin styles.

Friday, Aug. 23, “The Sugar Thieves” bring a new style to blues for music enthusiasts of all ages.

Friday, Sept. 20, the free series moves down the street to A.J. Chandler Park’s stage plaza for Ballet Arizona’s “Ballet Under the Stars” at 7 p.m. The stage is located at 178 E. Commonwealth Ave.

Bring a blanket or lawn chair to enjoy a distinct evening performance, ranging from classical to contemporary, on an outdoor stage.

Visit chandlercenter.org/summer2024 for more details and to RSVP.

For those who want a front-row experience at home, each performance in the Summer Concert Series will be live-streamed.
