    Community of Women to celebrate 1-year anniversary Sept. 12

    The Community of Women business referral group will celebrate its one-year anniversary with a special celebration Thursday, Sept. 12.

    It will be from 11:30 to 1 p.m. at Mimi’s Cafe, 2800 W. Chandler Blvd. In Chandler, according to a release.

    In addition to networking, speakers from past events will be in attendance to share information about their areas of expertise.

    The celebration is open to members, past attendees, speakers and guests. The meeting is free to members and $20 for guests. Lunch is not included. Guests are encouraged to sign up early at www.communityofwomen.org .

    “We’re bringing back some of the most amazing guest speakers who have visited us over the past year to celebrate with us,” Gold Canyon resident Lena Morrissey, president and founder of Community of Women, said in the release. “This is an open invitation for women to celebrate with us, network their business and mingle with some of the most amazing women in the Valley.”

    Community of Women LLC welcomes women of all ages and provides them with a community that embraces them personally, professionally and in business. The forward-thinking environment focuses on personal growth education, building friendships, sharing ideas, community involvement and expanding the member’s business connections.
