    Halloween Spooktacular in Chandler on Oct. 25

    Enjoy tricks and treats at Chandler’s annual Halloween Spooktacular.

    The "fang-tastic" party  for all ages is set for Friday, Oct. 25 at A.J. Chandler Park's stage Plaza in Downtown Chandler from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m. Admission is free.

    Attendees can enjoy lots of spooky fun throughout the park.

    The Spooktacular is presented by the city of Chandler and sponsored by Waste Management, Legacy Traditional Schools, Raising Cane’s and Love Your School.

    The stage plaza is located at 178 E. Commonwealth Avenue, east of Arizona Avenue.

    Free parking for this event is available on the east side of Arizona Avenue, including the City Hall Parking Garage (Chicago and Washington streets), the Johnathan Parking Garage (Buffalo and Washington streets) or the Alexander Parking Garage (Boston and Washington streets).

    Here are some of the activities planned:

    • Catwalk Costume Parade – Ghosts, goblins, superheroes and everything in between can show off their cute or scary Halloween costumes.

    Attendees of all ages are encouraged to participate and no registration is required.

    All walkers ages 12 and under will receive a special glow-in-the-dark souvenir.

    The phantasmic parade will happen twice at 6:15 p.m. and 7:30 p.m.

    • Trunk-or-Treat – Spooktacular’s Trunk-or-Treat features multiple candy stations with more than 300 collective pounds of sweet treats. Be sure to bring a bag to carry your haunted assortment home.

    • Carnival Games – Play ghoulish games such as the Spooky Prize Wheel, Musical Headstones and Witches Broom Races for a chance to win prizes.

    • Halloween Dance Party – A deejay will play tunes that fit the holiday.

    • Inclusive Play Area – Full Spectrum Learn & Play will offer a make-your-own-monster activity and spooky sensory bins for children of all abilities.
