Slayton man hurt in work-related accident in Meeker County
(Hutchinson MN-) On July 25, 2024, at 6:45 p.m., the Meeker County Sheriff’s Office received a call of a man who was injured on a job site. Meeker County Deputies, Hutchinson Fire & Rescue, Alina Ambulance and Lifelink III responded to the scene in the 67000 block of CSAH 18 in Ellsworth Township. Deputies learned Peter Mollema, 37, of Slayton, MN was conducting fiber optic work, when he fell into a pit, landing on a grounding rod, which impaled his leg. Mollema was flown by LifeLink III from the scene to Saint Cloud Hospital where he is being treated for his injuries.
Body of missing Minnesota college student recovered from river in Montana
CARBON COUNTY, Mont. (FOX 9) - The body of the missing Minnesota college student and hiker was recovered from a river in Montana on Wednesday. According to officials, the body of Dylan Honnoll was recovered from a river in the Beartooth Mountains, northwest of Red Lodge, Montana. Honnoll's body was found under fast-moving water.

Economy Airline to Pull All Flights from Minnesota
Minnesota will soon have one less airline providing service to travelers, as one economy airline has made the decision to pull out of the state. Minnesota currently has over a dozen airlines that serve the state, including Delta, United, American, and low-cost carriers like Sun Country, Allegiant, and JetBlue, also service the state, but one of those will no longer fly into or out of Minnesota.
