TCCS Volleyball Tops Forest Area
TIDIOUTE, Pa. – Tidioute Community Charter School defeated Forest Area, 3-1 (25-22, 31-29, 23-25, 25-22) for the Bulldogs’ first win of the season. Katelyn Hart led the TCCS attack with 3 aces, 5 kills, 4 digs, and 1 block. Marlee Nuttall had 4 aces, 1 kill and 7 digs. Sophia Bereksazi had 6 aces, 2 kills, 1 assist and 4 digs. Hailey Paden had 3 aces, 1 kill and 5 digs. Lexi Hart had 1 dig. Tegan Whiteman had 3 aces, 2 kills and 3 digs. Ashleigh Johnson had 2 aces, 2 kills and 10 assists.
Letter to the Editor — Solutions Needed for Classroom Temps
I am writing in response to the 8/28/2024 Letter to the Editor regarding classrooms being too hot. Ms. Smith is correct; there needs to be something done for the students. As an alumnus of the Warren Area High School, I remember all too well the dreaded days where the outdoor temperatures were above 85 degrees Fahrenheit. Yesterday, I am writing this on 8/28/2024, I saw the temperature peaked in the high 90’s nearly above one hundred — yikes! That isn’t even accounting for the feels like temperature from the UV index, humidity, and the structural variables of buildings. I shuddered just recollecting my high school days.

JCC Welcomes Four New Full-Time Faculty Members to Jamestown Campus
Jamestown Community College has added four new full-time faculty members to its Jamestown campus for the 2024-2025 academic year. The include the following:. Deborah Miller, Business & Accounting instructor, has a Master's degree in business administration from Baker College, and a Bachelor's degree in business administration from Houghton College. Miller comes to JCC from Jamestown Business College, where she taught business courses. She will also have teaching responsibilities on the Cattaraugus County Campus.
