$100K-winning Powerball ticket sold in Portage

PORTAGE, Wis. -- A $100,000-winning Powerball ticket was sold in Portage, Wisconsin Lottery officials said Tuesday.

The ticket was sold at Fort BP located at 1901 East Highway 33.

The ticket matched four of the five winning numbers (19-24-40-42-56) as well as the Powerball (23). Lottery officials said the ticket also included the $1 Power Play , which boosted the from $50,000 to $100,000 because the 2X multiplier was drawn.

Portage has become something of hub for lottery winners this year. Along with Monday's winner, two $50,000-winning Powerball tickets were sold at Kwik Trip locations during the past two months.

The Powerball jackpot now sits at an estimated $1.09 billion, with the next drawing scheduled for Wednesday night. It is the fourth-largest Powerball jackpot ever. The odds of winning the Powerball jackpot are 1:292,201,338.
