PLANNING THE NE XT 24 HOURS: Significant heating has not occurred in the area, limiting the chance of severe weather yesterday. There is patchy fog that will linger until mid to late morning. The system also stalled a little bit, as it stalled overhead, that will allow for some isolated storms later Friday. Mainly late in the afternoon and evening. Wind and heavy rain are the main threats if we see any stronger storms. Temperatures will make it up to near 80 degrees Friday afternoon. Temperatures will fall Friday night under mostly cloudy skies into the mid 60s.

EXTENDED FORECA ST : There is a slight chance of a pop-up storm Saturday afternoon, yet many places will be dry. Sunday is looking dry and seasonably warm. We will be on the cooler side of a "ridge" of heat in the Midwest next week. This means comfortable temperatures, with slight chances for shower storms that may ride up and over the "ridge," especially later in the week.
