    PLANNING THE NE XT 24 HOURS: Scattered storms remain in the forecast late in the afternoon and evening. Gusty winds and hail may accompany a few of the storms. Temperatures will make it into the low 80s today. Temperatures will fall Friday night under mostly cloudy skies into the mid 60s.

    EXTENDED FORECA ST : There is a slight chance of a pop-up storm Saturday afternoon, yet many places will be dry. Sunday is looking dry and seasonably warm. We will be on the cooler side of a "ridge" of heat in the Midwest next week. This means comfortable temperatures, with slight chances for shower storms that may ride up and over the "ridge," especially later in the week.
