MADISON, Wis. -- The United States Attorney for the Western District of Wisconsin announced Thursday Iyon Perkins, 42, of Beloit, was sentenced to two-and-a-half years in federal prison for using his house for cocaine distribution.

During a federal investigation, the U.S. Department of Justice said multiple witnesses testified that they routinely obtained large quantities of cocaine from Kelvin Haley, Jr., who used homes in the Beloit area to store and sell cocaine. One of these homes belonged to Perkins. In undercover videos of drug purchases at the home, both Perkins and Haley were present.

The DOJ said Kelvin Haley, Jr. was sentenced on July 11, 2024, to 8 ½ years in federal prison for conspiring to distribute cocaine. Perkins pled guilty to the charge on March 27, 2024. During the sentencing, U.S. District Judge William M. Conley noted that although Perkins had prior state convictions involving controlled substances, he showed extraordinary rehabilitative efforts since his arrest in Oct. 2023.
