Mercyhealth, HealthNet announce free cancer screenings

JANESVILLE, Wis. -- Local Rock County clinics are teaming up to hold these important screenings.

Mercyhealth and HealthNet of Rock County will offer free cancer screenings on Wednesday, Sept 11, 3-7 p.m. at HealthNet of Rock County, 113 S. Franklin Street in Janesville.

The following screenings will include

Oral cancer
Skin cancer
Breast cancer
Lung cancer screening qualification assessment

Screenings can catch cancer at its earliest stages, often before symptoms appear. Early detection leads to more effective treatment and better outcomes.

Regular screenings are recommended based on age, gender, family history, and other risk factors to maximize benefits.

Appointments are encouraged and can be scheduled by calling (888)396-3729. Walk-ins are welcome.
