Gov. Evers appoints Morgan Johanning as Lafayette County District Attorney

MADISON, Wis. -- Gov. Evers appointed a rising star to Lafayette County District Attorney Friday.

Gov. Evers appointed Morgan Johanning who has been serving since 2019, practicing in Lafayette, Green, Grant, and Iowa counites. The appointment fills a vacancy created by former District Attorney Jenna Gill's appointment to the Lafayette County Circuit Court.

Johanning will serve for the remainder of the unexpired term which ends in Jan, 2025.

"Morgan Johnning's commitment to service and her community will make her an excellent district attorney for the people of Lafayette County," said Gov. Evers.

Johanning is a graduate of UW-Platteville and the Northern Illinois University College of Law.
