BARABOO, Wis -- Three Baraboo police officers are under administrative investigation following allegations that they were affiliated with a drug dealer.

Sauk County deputies arrested a 37-year-old Baraboo man on Tuesday as part of an investigation into the suspected sale of cocaine and other drugs. Investigators seized drugs, guns and other evidence during searches in the Town of Fairfield, City of Baraboo and Town of Baraboo.

Notably, the Sauk County Sheriff's Office did not specify if the Baraboo Police Department assisted in the arrest but did say the Lake Delton Police Department, Reedsburg Police Department, and Wisconsin Dells Police Department assisted .

Police officials said that, on the same day, Chief Rob Sinden was told that three Baraboo officers were allegedly affiliated with the man.

As a result of the allegations, an administrative investigation is underway and one officer was placed on administrative leave.

The Wisconsin Department of Justice Division of Criminal Investigation is also investigating the alleged sales. Baraboo police said their administrative investigation cannot conclude until the DOJ's investigation is completed.

The names of the officers were not released.
