Warmer temperatures set to return - Kelly

WHAT WE'RE TRACKING :

• 80s over the weekend
• Small rain chances Friday and Sat. night
• 70s return late next week

PLANNING THE NE X T 24 HOURS: Thursday will once again be very similar to the last few days (maybe a few degrees warmer) with highs in the mid 70s across most of southern Wisconsin and partly sunny skies. Winds remain light. Thursday night temperatures will fall into the mid 50s under partly cloudy conditions.

EXTENDED FORECA ST : High pressure that has been dominate over the area breaks down and moves southeastward, which will turn the winds out of the south and quickly warm the area up. Temperatures climb near the 80 degree mark Friday. As a warm front approaches Friday, we'll have a chance for showers and thunderstorms, mainly west of Madison. Temperatures will warm into the mid 80s as humidity increases this weekend. Another chance of rain will come Saturday night into Sunday. Both instances of possible rainfall the next few days will likely not amount to much and won't last long. After Tuesday of next week, we won't be as warm as temperatures slowly fall back to the 70s by the end of next week.
