PLANNING THE NE X T 24 HOURS: Today will feature warmer temperatures with highs in the middle 80s along with partly to mostly sunny skies. Later in the night, it will be very mild with lows near 70. We also could see some showers and thunderstorms overnight, but most of the rain will stay in the southwestern portion of Wisconsin.

EXTENDED FORECA ST : Lingering clouds may prevent temperatures from reaching alert day levels on Sunday. However, the heat and humidity will peak at the beginning of the work week. The First Warn Weather team is expecting ALERT DAY conditions for Monday  & Tuesday for the high temperatures. Triple digit heat index values will be possible Monday and Tuesday across all of Southern Wisconsin. There will be a round of showers and storms Tuesday night that will cool things off a bit for Wednesday. Temperatures will continue to cool down after that with 70s returning for Labor Day Weekend. There are a few chances of rain to end next work week as well.
