PLANNING THE NE X T 2 4 HO URS: Thanks to the cold front, temperatures Tuesday afternoon will only reach the 60s. Also as the temperatures fall, the winds will pick up with gusts up to 25-30 mph across southern Wisconsin.

EXTENDED FORECA ST : After Tuesday, temperatures will warm back up slightly, but highs will likely stay in the lower 70s for the most part from Wednesday through the weekend. There's a small chance for rain showers along the Wisconsin/Illinois state line late Thursday night into Friday as a warm front lifts northwards. This is the better of the two chances for rain over the next week though, with a drier than normal pattern likely setting in for most of the first half of October. Despite this, it's worth noting that Wisconsin has been experiencing one of its wettest January through August's on record .
