Dane County Humane Society to debut new thrift store

MADISON, Wis. -- The Dane County Humane Society announced Wednesday it will unveil its new thrift store on Madison's east side, mirroring the DCHS Thrift Store West.

The DCHS said its Thrift Store East grand celebration will run from Friday, Aug. 23 through Sunday, Aug. 25. Shoppers will be able to enjoy 20% off storewide, earn "Rover’s Rewards" for every $10 spent, spin the prize wheel, and meet adoptable pets when they stop by the new east side location.

For pet appearances, the DCHS said animals are expected to be at Thrift Store East on Friday, Aug. 23rd and Saturday, Aug. 24th from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m., 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m., and 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. On Sunday, Aug. 25, shoppers can meet the pets from 11:00 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. and 2:30 p.m. to 5:00 p.m.

Proceeds generated through shopping at DCHS Thrift Store locations go to help animals at DCHS and in the Madison community. The DCHS said the thrift stores will be open from 11:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. Tuesday through Saturday, and from 11:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. on Sunday and Monday.
