MADISON, Wis. -- The Wisconsin Biohealth Business Achievement Award has officially been granted to Madison's own Dr. Sue Wallace, said BioForward Thursday.

As the CEO of Voximetry in Madison, BioForward said Dr. Wallace has been a transformative figure in the Wisconsin biohealth community primarily for her work in radiation sciences. Dr. Wallace continues to advance cancer care by tailoring treatment plans for individual patients, rather than using a one-size-fits-all approach, pushing the boundaries of what's possible in modern medicine.

BioForward said Dr. Wallace began her career at GE Healthcare, focusing on revolutionizing cancer diagnosis and treatment through molecular imaging. After that, she made Positron Emission Tomography imaging accessible nationwide by building a network of radiopharmaceutical production facilities at Cardinal Health.

In addition to being a GE-trained Six Sigma Master Black Belt, BioForward said Dr. Wallace holds a PhD in Radiopharmaceutical Chemistry from Washington University in St. Louis and has led multiple global businesses. Born in Racine, Wisconsin, she now leads a spin-off venture from the University of Wisconsin Medical Physics department.
