CHICAGO -- The political conventions may be winding down, but for Wisconsin voters the election cycle is about to speed up.

Wisconsin Democratic Party chairman Ben Wikler told News 3 Now that he expects more visits from Vice President Kamala Harris, Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz and others over the next 75 days.

"If you don't fight in Wisconsin, you're not serious about winning the election," Wikler said. "And I know this campaign is very very serious."

Wisconsin has already received several visits from Harris since President Joe Biden dropped his reelection bid, including Tuesday's rally in Milwaukee. During that visit, she outlined Wisconsin's importance to her winning the election.

"It's also the state that tipped both the 2016 and the 2020 presidential elections," Wikler said. "It's a state that has the most close elections in any state in America for the last six presidential elections, coming down less than one percentage point."

Reaching Wisconsin voters won't only come in he form of visits. Expect to see candidates on social media, debate stages and just about any platform possible tackling issues like reproductive freedoms, prescription drug costs and the economy.
