The Goddard School coming to Middleton

MIDDLETON, Wis. -- The Goddard School for Early Childhood Development, a nationally-acclaimed education franchise, announced Tuesday it is set to open its first location in Middleton.

Coming October 2024, the Goddard School of Middleton will use its exclusive inquiry-based "Wonder of Learning" education program to feature a cutting-edge curriculum developed by a diversely skilled group of educators, researchers, physicians and early childhood experts, as well as built-in assessment of academic and social-emotional progress and family communication via a proprietary app.

The Goddard School said inquiry-based learning, which will guide their program, is a teaching and learning approach that focuses on the natural curiosity and sense of wonder children bring into the classroom. With teacher-guided inquiry topics, children will learn about themselves and the world around them by exploring their interests, investigating concepts and asking questions. The school's education program will build age-appropriate academic, social and emotional skills through curiosity, collaboration, investigation and discovery.

Additionally, the Goddard School said the program will also incorporate STEAM enrichment activities, including yoga, art, music and outdoor play, that embed concepts such as community, design thinking, communication and critical thinking. The new location will be equipped with hospital grade sanitization equipment to ensure a healthy environment, as well as boast an indoor gymnasium and multiple outdoor playgrounds.

Located at 102 Veritas Drive, the Goddard School said the nearly 14,500 square-foot early childhood education center in Middleton will have 12 classrooms to provide care for and educate approximately 170 students. Additionally, the school will add 35 teaching jobs to the community.
