Madison's annual 'CultureCon' draws 600 in-person and online

    2024-08-29

MADISON, Wis. -- Zach Bluemnfeld and Nick Lombardino founded CultureCon USA in 2018. Since then, the duo have held annual conferences in Madison. Both Bluemnfeld and Lombardino are from the capital city as well.

The conference that focuses on improving workspaces.

"During the pandemic, we went virtual, obviously. And then afterwards we know that there is an eagerness for people wanting to be together again in person. And we think that that really helped catapult us in 2022 to where we are now," said Lombardino.

This year, over 600 people signed up to attend virtually and in-person.

Outside of teaching ways to make work environments more positive, the duo also uses the event to show off the City of Madison.

"Favorite part is just walking through the hallways and kind of you drop in on the conversation. A lot of people come to Madison for the first time, so I love hearing them say how beautiful our city is," said Bluemnfeld.

Organizers urge attendees to shop with vendors in the city. They also host a 'Give Back' drive that supports local nonprofits.

This year, they're donating money to DAIS, Doyenne Group, Nehemiah Center for Urban Leadership Development, Wisconsin Environmental Initiative and B Local Wisconsin.
