Suspect in robbery, fraud case identified

MADISON, Wis. -- Madison police have identified a suspect who allegedly stole $10,000 from an elderly woman in July.

MPD said the incident occurred in the 4700 block of Madison Yards Way by a male asking her for directions to the nearest emergency room. While she was trying to help this individual, an accomplice was able to take her wallet.

Police said the suspects travelled to numerous stores and charged over $10,000 to the victim's financial accounts. Madison police are attempting to identify this individual.
