MADISON, Wis. -- The Wisconsin men's soccer team is enjoying a red-hot start to the season, with the team riding a perfect 4-0 record. The Badgers were ranked No. 10 in this week's United Soccer Coaches poll.

The Badgers played all four of their matches this season at home, outscoring opponents 15-2. That includes a 2-1 victory over in-state rivals Marquette on Monday.

Freshman Dean Boltz tallied a goal and an assist in that win. He is the Badgers' lead scorer with 7 goals. He has scored in every match including a hat trick in the season opener against Marist.

Wisconsin's next match is a serious test. The Badgers will travel to Lexington on Friday to take on No. 16 Kentucky. The Wildcats have consistently played their way into the NCAA Tournament, missing just once over the last 10 seasons.

Kentucky has opened the season with a 1-0-1 record, playing Virginia Tech to a 2-2 draw on Monday at home. All five of the Wildcats' goals this season have been scored by different players.

Friday's match is set to kick off at 6:30 p.m. CT.
