Man arrested for OWI after multi-vehicle crash on Madison's north side Tuesday

MADISON, Wis. -- A man was arrested for OWI after a multi-vehicle crash on the city's north side Tuesday night.

Madison Police said the crash occurred in the area of Northport Drive and Mandrake Road at 9:52 p.m. where a motorist was allegedly distracted by their dog and hit a pole, causing their car to end up in the oncoming lane of traffic.

Shortly after, this a car was hit by another motorist. Madison Fire arrived on scene and they transported some of the involved parties to the hospital.

MPD said a second motorist a 23-year-old man was showing signs of intoxication and was arrested for OWI (first offense) and he was later released.
