Wisconsin women's hockey topples Lindenwood 12-0

MADISON, Wis. -- Wisconsin women's hockey's yearly dominance against Lindenwood continues.

Laila Edwards opened the scoring on a power play goal in the first period. It wouldn't get much better for the Lions from there, as Wisconsin added 8 more goals in the first period to go up 8-0.

Wisconsin's Hannah Halverson notched a goal in the second, and Kirsten Simms, Kelly Gorbatenko, and Casey O'Brien each had a goal in the third to give Wisconsin its first win of the season.

Lacey Eden and Kelly Gorbatenko had two goals apiece.
