MFD: No injuries reported after a fire on Madison's east side Monday night

MADISON, Wis. -- The Madison Fire Department responded to a log fire near the railroad tracks on the city's east side Monday night.

MFD said the fire occurred on 5288 Felland Road where crews found a pile of large logs, approximately 20x20 feet in size, on fire under a lean-to-roof.

Fire officials said the fire was extending into a shed as crews began to put out the fire.

Mutual aid was requested from the Sun Prairie Fire to provide additional water supply. Additional crews assisted with putting out the fire.

No injuries were reported. The MFD Investigation Team is looking into what caused the fire.
