NCAA Div. III Men's Hockey National Championship to be held in Middleton in 2028

MIDDLETON, Wis. -- National championship hockey is coming to the Madison area in 2028.

The NCAA announced Wednesday that the 2028 Div. III Men's Hockey National Championship will be held at Bob Suter's Legacy20 Arena in Middleton from Mach 23-25.

The championship will be hosted by the Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference and the Madison Area Sports Commission. Destination Madison estimates the event will bring almost $740,000 to the Madison area economy.

" We are extremely excited to welcome the 2028 NCAA Division III Men’s Ice Hockey Championship to the Greater Madison Area," WIAC commissioner Danielle Harris said. " The conference, along with its incredible partners, is committed to providing a first-class experience for the student-athletes, coaches and fans."

This will be the first time that the Div. III men's hockey championship will be hosted in the Madison area.

The NCAA also announced Wednesday that the 2028 Div. III wrestling finals will be held at the La Crosse Center. The 2027 Div. I cross country regionals will be held in Verona.
