    Fitchburg Police investigating multiple shell casings found in a parking lot

    FITCHBURG, Wis. -- Fitchburg Police are investigating after multiple shell casings were found in a parking lot behind a multi-family building.

    Fitchburg officers responded to the 2600 block of Smithfield Drive Wednesday morning for reports of gunshots.

    No injuries have been reported from the incident.

    The investigation remains open and active. Anyone with any information is asked to contact the Fitchburg Police Department at (608)270-4300.
