MLB to produce, distribute Milwaukee Brewers games in 2025

MILWAUKEE, Wis. -- The Milwaukee Brewers and Bally Sports Network have officially divorced.

Major League Baseball Tuesday announced it would produce and distribute all non-nationally televised games for the Brewers, along with the Cleveland Guardians and Minnesota Twins.

In addition, the Texas Rangers have determined it will no longer be partnering with Diamond Sports Group, parent company of Bally Sports, and is considering its local media options for the 2025 season.

The Guardians, Brewers, Twins and Rangers have contracts that expired at the end of the 2024 regular season.

According to MLB, Milwaukee had a direct-to-consumer streaming option available with Diamond and will continue to do so with MLB moving forward.

Diamond Sports has been in Chapter 11 bankruptcy proceedings in the Southern District of Texas since it filed for protection in March 2023. The company said in a financial filing last year that it had debt of $8.67 billion.

MLB said the arrangements with the Guardians, Brewers and Twins will be similar to how MLB produced and distributed games for the Arizona Diamondbacks, Colorado Rockies and San Diego Padres during the 2024 season. Last season, MLB negotiated cable and satellite distribution agreements and made direct-to-consumer streaming options available.

More information about where and how fans can watch will be made available closer to the 2025 season.
