Getting even warmer before our first widespread frost - Savanna

PLANNING THE NEXT 24 HOURS: Thursday is looking sunny and very mild, with highs getting into the lower to mid 70s. Temperatures will stay mild for this time of year Thursday night, in the lower to middle 50s. Tonight will be a good night to try and view the northern lights across Wisconsin.

EXTENDED FORECAST: After a summer-like Friday with temperatures near 80 degrees, a series of cold fronts will move through the area. Slight chances of showers are possible Friday night and Saturday, with temperatures cooling into the 60s Saturday afternoon. On Sunday, a stronger cold front will bring breezy conditions, some showers, and temperatures struggling to get out of the 50s. Early next week looks fall-like with below normal temperatures. There is a good chance of a hard freeze and morning frost early next week, too. The fire danger also continues as the amount of dry fuels continue to increase, daily humidity remains low, with low rain chances.
