Evers appoints Craig Reukauf as Grant County Sheriff

LANCASTER, Wis. -- A long-time member of the Grant County Sheriff's Office has been promoted.

Craig Reukauf was promoted to Grant County Sheriff. The appointment fills a vacancy created by Sheriff Nate Dreckman's resignation. Reukauf will complete the remainder of the unexpired term that ends January 2027.

"With more than 25 years of service in the Grant County Sheriff's Office, Craig Reukauf has demonstrated commitment to this community," said Gov. Tony Evers.

Reukauf is currently the jail administrator for the Grant County Sheriff's Office.

He earned an associate degree in police science technology from Western Technical College in La Crosse and is a graduate of the Wisconsin Law Enforcement Command College.
