    Missing Mequon man located safe in Whitefish Bay

    Update: Thomas Peter Wollersheim, 87, was located safe in Whitefish Bay.


    MEQUON, Wis. -- A Silver Alert was issued Friday for a missing man from Mequon.

    Thomas Peter Wollersheim, 87, went missing from the Mequon area Friday morning. He is believed to have dementia or some other cognitive impairment.

    According to the Mequon Police Department, Wollersheim lives in Mequon and visited Ascension Columbia St. Mary's Ozaukee Hospital to drop off a family member around 9 a.m. Officials said he was due to return at 12:30 p.m. to pick up the family member at the hospital, but never returned.

    Wollersheim is 6'1", 160 lbs., with gray eyes, and gray hair, partially balding on top with hair on the sides. He was last seen wearing a gray jacket and a gold wedding ring. He is also reported to have bad knees that cause a slight limp.

    Wollersheim was last seen driving a gold 2002 Nissan Maxima with Wisconsin license plate 150 PVX.

    Anyone who sees him is asked to call the Mequon Police Department at (262) 242-3500.
