The 2024 NBA draft will begin on Wednesday night with day one of two for the annual event. While North Carolina likely won’t have a first-round pick, they should hear Harrison Ingram’s name called on Thursday.

Ingram spent two seasons at Stanford before heading to UNC for a year and then entering the draft. After just the one season at North Carolina, Ingram made an impact and decided to enter the draft to pursue his dream.

Leading into this draft, Ingram has had workouts with a few different teams and his stock currently sits as a second-round pick in updated mock drafts.

But could Ingram be a surprise leaper in this draft? Stockrisers’ Jake Weingarten believes so:

Ingram averaged 12.2 points and 8.8 rebounds per game during his lone season as a Tar Heel. He was a key component to UNC’s starting lineup as he started in every game that he appeared in and became one of the best rebounders in the ACC.

Wherever Ingram lands, the team that gets him is getting a hard worker and someone determined to improve as his career goes on. Let’s hope he lands in a good spot for his career path.
