Both the North Carolina Tar Heels’ basketball and football programs are in pursuit of in-state recruit Kendre Harrison .

The Reidsville, North Carolina native is drawing attention on both the basketball court and football field as his recruitment is starting to pick up as the months go on. Harrison has drawn some comparisons to a former North Carolina two-sport standout in Julius Peppers and has expressed interest in playing football plus at least a year of basketball at the program he picks.

And his legacy continues to grow even more this Summer.

In a social media post from SLAM , Harrison reportedly has shattered two backboards in three months. We wrote on the first one a few months back but the video shows him breaking another one and getting basketball banned at his school:

The Tar Heels’ football program was the first to offer Harrison and the basketball program joined them in offering him back in June. With UNC having Peppers in their back pocket in terms of recruitment, things should be looking up for them.

However, he’s drawing the attention of lot of big programs on the football side of things, making this recruitment an interesting one to follow.  And let’s hope that the Tar Heels can eventually come out on top and land this prized in-state recruit.
