NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WSMV) - Neighbors described what it was like at the Oakwood Apartments at about 9 p.m. Wednesday. One neighbor told WSMV4 that police were everywhere and that she saw a lady running and officers went to catch the lady. The neighbor said that the lady appeared to be 3-year-old Aydeen Pruitt’s mom.

Free Meals Program for Wayne County Kids
On Friday, July 26, Southwest Human Resource Agency will welcome parents and caregivers from throughout the area to Wayne County Libraries for their weekly distribution of free summertime meals. Lebanon proposal for hundreds of homes near Five Oaks faces intense scrutiny
The Lebanon Planning Commission gave a negative recommendation to a controversial housing development plan that would be part of a golf course community called Five Oaks at an emotional public meeting Tuesday. The Meadows at Five Oaks is a proposal to build 274 homes on nearly 107 acres right by the existing Five Oaks neighborhoods just off Highway 70 and east of State Route 109. Spencer Cancels Water/Sewer Rate Increase
The Spencer City Council amended an ordinance for a planned water and sewer rate increase Thursday. The increase implemented in February, 2023 to gradually increase rates every six months until the city’s utilities were no longer experiencing financial stress. With the change in utility leadership, Spencer Mayor Alisa Farmer said the state suggested the change.
